FAQs

Do you take off from land or in the water?

You take off and land directly on the boat! After we fit you with a special parasail harness, you are seated next to your partner(s) on the flight deck and then gently launched and retrieved using a hydraulic winch system.

Do I need to have any experience to parasail?

Absolutely not! If you can sit, you can fly!

Are there any age or weight restrictions?

Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign their liability waiver. Minimum combined weight is 90 lbs and maximum combined weight about 450 lbs. Weight requirements change daily due to wind conditions and are subject to captain’s approval.

Can two or three people go at the same time?

Yes! Some restrictions apply depending on weight and wind conditions; ultimately it’s the captain’s decision.

Do I ever touch the water?

It’s up to you! Just let the captain know if you want to stay dry or get your feet wet.

Is parasailing scary?

Actually it’s quite the opposite. Parasailing is very serene and peaceful. Take off’s and landings are very slow and gentle making you feel as if you are truly ‘floating on air’.

Where do we go parasailing?

After arriving at the beach, you will be taken by a Zodiac to the parasail boat. Your captain will head South into the Gulf of Mexico.

What can I expect to see parasailing?

In addition to awesome panoramic views of the Panama City Beach beaches and Emerald coast, on occasion you will see dolphins, sea turtles, stingrays, fishermen, tour boats, sunburnt tourists, and lots of colorful beach umbrellas!

What should I wear?

Swim suits suggested…Remember this is a water activity!!

Can I go along just to watch?

Yes! When you call to make a reservation for parasailing please let us know the number of people who want to go along to watch. Observers can ride for $25 each IF WE HAVE SPACE AVAILABLE.

How long are the rides and how much does it cost?

The entire boating adventure takes a little over an hour. Each parasail boat holds up to 6 passengers who take turns flying two or three at a time. Please see PARASAIL page.
