Another Coronation Street victim as soap favourite is rushed to hospital with exit confirmed
In the wake of the tragic death of Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) in Coronation Street, there are more upsetting events set to unfold as another character is subjected to a knife ordeal.
Visiting dad Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis) in prison, Bobby Crawford (Jack Carroll) learns that he is willing to donate his kidney to Carla Connor (Alison King).
But things soon take a terrifying turn when Mason’s killer Matty (Seamus McGoff) takes him hostage at knife-point in a dramatic prison room stand-off.
Meanwhile, when Carla gets wind of Rob’s gesture, and his claim to have found religion, will she swallow her doubts and accept?
Elsewhere, there’s a hospital dash for Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) when she injures herself.
And she finds herself in an awkward position when doctors let slip her pregnancy in front of Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) and Kit Green (Jacob Roberts).
And finally, Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) has her eyes on a big change after getting a job offer – but what does it mean for Daniel?

Meanwhile, having heard about the ongoing hostage situation from Lisa and discovered Bobby is visiting Rob, Carla tells a shocked Betsy that her brother is a murderer.
Sean tells Dylan that Matty’s been arrested and the police have found CCTV footage of the pair disposing of the knife. The residents are shocked when George tells them Mason’s funeral will be basic with no family there. Betsy leaves the precinct after finding Dylan drinking vodka.

In the prison visiting room Rob makes out to Carla how finding God has changed him and he wants to make amends by giving her his kidney.
At No.13, Abi continues to dwell on Mason’s death. Debbie calls at No.13 to find Kevin visibly stressed.
When Kevin admits that he’s found a lump, Debbie’s shocked. Debbie urges Kevin to share his worries about his lump with Abi. Kevin finds a tearful Abi in the memorial garden talking to Seb and realises now is not the time to tell her his news.
At the police station, Kit explains to Dylan that he will be charged with possession of a bladed article. Dylan listens, petrified.

As her trial starts Lauren listens as the prosecution barrister addresses the court. The prosecution barrister describes Joel’s death to the court and paints Lauren as a liar.
As the prosecution and defence go back and forth Lauren, Bobby and Nina watch the proceedings with mixed emotions. Having returned to the prison, Lauren’s barrister warns her that the case could go either way.
In the prison, Brie approaches Lauren and purposely winds her up by suggesting Frankie would be better off without her.
