There’s fresh agony for an already traumatised Abi Webster (Sally Carman-Duttine) in Coronation Street next week, as husband Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) reveals he thinks he could have cancer.

Abi has been struggling in the wake of Mason Radcliffe’s (Luca Toolan) murder, having attempted to save his life after he was stabbed by his brothers Matty and Logan (Séamus McGoff and Harry Lowbridge).

Poor Abi has started experiencing flashbacks to the death of her son Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) after he was killed in similar circumstances at the hands of Corey Brent (Maximus Evans) and his gang in 2021.

Next week, Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) shares her concerns for Abi with Kevin after a frantic Abi accuses her of abducting young son Alfie Franklin when he goes missing in the precinct.

After Toyah tells Kevin she thinks Abi needs professional help, Kevin speaks to his wife, but she assures him that she’s coping and doesn’t need any counselling.

But once alone, Abi relives Mason’s last moments in her head, clearly tortured by the ordeal.

Meanwhile, Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) calls at No.13 to find a visibly stressed Kevin, who admits to his sister that he has found a lump and is worried he has cancer.

She urges her brother to tell Abi about his fears, but when he later finds a tearful Abi in the memorial garden hallucinating and talking to Seb, Kevin realises it is not the time to tell her.

An upset Kevin then confides in Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) about his cancer worries before returning home and finding Abi asleep on the sofa with Alfie.

Kevin takes Alfie upstairs but when Debbie lets herself in, Abi wakes up and accuses Debbie of taking Alfie.

Kevin soon manages to diffuse the situation, but as Abi tries to defend her overreaction, Kevin blurts out that he has found a lump and may have testicular cancer.

Abi is left reeling by the news, but clearly experiencing a mental health crisis, how will she react?
