Coronation Street's Daisy, Carla and Abi all looking perplexed

An eventful week awaits on Coronation Street (Picture: ITV)

Coronation Street lines up a dramatic week, as confirmed in my new video clips, with the aftermath of a death sending shockwaves through the cobbles, plus an unexpected proposition from a returning character.

The tragic demise of Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) continues to haunt Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne), who believes he is to blame for the crime.

Carla Connor (Alison King), meanwhile, receives an unexpected blast from the past in the form of brother Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis), who promises that he’s a changed man.

With Carla in need of a kidney transplant, will Rob prove to be the answer to her prayers?

Elsewhere, Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) makes a discovery that brings her closer to Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) and Abi Webster (Sally Carman) receives big news from husband Kevin (Michael Le Vell).

For a first look at all the above, I’ve got four brand new video clips of next week’s Weatherfield drama so let’s take a look at what’s to come.

Monday January 13

Sean and Eileen do their best to reassure Dylan that it’s not his fault that Mason’s dead but he struggles to see such a thing, believing that he is to blame for what transpired, claiming that he should be dead – not Mason.

Wednesday January 15

Daisy informs Daniel that Bertie saw Cassie put something in someone’s tea. When quizzed about such a thing, Cassie claims that it’s sweetener.

Bethany isn’t pleased when she finds the two former flames discussing the situation on the stairs, reminding them about cutting Bertie’s cake.

Carla heads to prison to visit estranged brother Rob after learning that Bobby has been in touch with him.

The ice thaws as the siblings catch up for the first time in years, with Rob stating that he’s ‘found God’ and wants to be a better person. Carla is taken aback when he reveals that he will donate her a kidney.

Friday January 17

Kevin quizzes Abi over her recent outburst at Debbie. Abi works out that something is going on and asks him outright what’s bothering him, prompting Kevin to reveal that he’s found a lump on his testicle – and that doctors are running tests to find out if its cancer.

Coronation Street airs these scenes from Monday, January 13 from 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
