Former EastEnders star Aaron Sidwell has completely transformed himself for his latest role.

The actor, who played Steven Beale in the BBC One soap, stars alongside fellow soap star Ricky Grover in an action thriller called Fyre Rises.

Aaron portrayed Cindy’s (Michelle Collins) son Steven in 2007-2008, and then again in 2016-2017.

Steven died during Max Branning’s (Jake Wood) revenge storyline, which saw him attempt to hurt everyone who played a part in putting him in prison for Lucy Beale’s murder.

After Steven lied to Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) about having a brain tumour, he got caught up in the fire at Walford East, orchestrated by Max. The desperate man then pushed Steven into a countertop after he refused to kill Jane (Laurie Brett) for him.

As a result of the injuries sustained in the showdown with Max, Steven died.

Following his EastEnders role, Aaron has gone onto appear in shows such as Father Brown and Doctors. He also played Fiyero in a theatre production of Wicked.

The star’s latest role is a huge contrast where his previous characters are concerned. Aaron portrays a Priest in thriller Fyre Rises, and can be seen wearing intense makeup with blood on his hands.

He features alongside Ricky Grover, who played Heather Trott’s boyfriend Andrew Cotton from 2011-2012.

Andrew left Walford following Ben Mitchell’s (Max Bowden) murder of Heather, concluding he’d never be able to move on if he stayed in the Square.
