Real-life soap twins known for Coronation Street roles celebrate milestone
Real-life soap twins Isabella and William Flanagan have celebrated their 14th birthday with their Coronation Street co-stars sending them well wishes.
The siblings are best known to Corrie fans as Hope Stape and Joseph Brown in the ITV soap.
Isabella’s on-screen stepfather Alan Halsall, who plays Tyrone Dobbs, posted a picture on Instagram Story of him with Isabella, his on-screen daughter Billie Naylor, who plays Ruby, and his real-life daughter Sienna.
‘Happy birthday to my (other) beautiful daughter @bellaflanaganofficial_ (and of course Will),’ he captioned the snap.
Isabella also posted her own birthday tribute to her brother.
Sharing a picture of them as toddlers, she wrote on her Story: ‘Happy Birthday twinny. I love you very much and would not want to be turning 14 with anyone else xxx @will.flanagan.official.’
Isabella then posted a more recent selfie of her and William together.
Isabella and William’s older sister Amelia, 16, plays April Windsor in Emmerdale, who is the daughter of Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock).
The soap trio live with their parents Rachel and Chris in Yorkshire.
Isabella took over the role from twins Faith and Nicole Holt in August 2017, whilst her twin brother Will first appeared as Joseph, the then-estranged son of Chesney Winter-Brown (Sam Aston) in the following October.
At the 2022 Inside Soap Awards, both girls were nominated for the Best Young Performer accolade, but Isabella emerged victorious and took home the gong.
She revealed to Inside Soap magazine: ‘There are so many debates at home whenever there are awards ceremonies.
‘Me and my brother are team Corrie and my sister is obviously team Emmerdale, so it does get a bit heated sometimes.’
