Caleb Miligan (William Ash) may be set to get dark revenge on Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day) in upcoming Emmerdale scenes, after his historic sexual abuse of daughter Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) came to light.
Caleb was left reeling earlier this week when he learnt that Steph Miligan (Georgia Jay) wasn’t his biological daughter, and his heart broke when Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) deduced that Anthony was her real dad.
In tonight’s episode, Caleb struggled to come to terms with the possibility that Anthony had abused Ruby, and raged at the fact that he hadn’t worked it out sooner.
Chas assured him that it wasn’t his fault, and that it would be normal to assume that someone would be incapable of such a vile act.
Later, Caleb informed Ruby of their suspicions about Steph’s conception, and promised to believe whatever she told him.
Ruby confirmed that she had been sexually abused by Anthony, before breaking down in emotional scenes.
Caleb assured her that she could tell him as much or as little about her ordeal as she wanted, and she bravely opened up to him about the first time Anthony had raped her.
As their conversation continued, Ruby revealed how her mum hadn’t believed her when she told her what had happened, but that she thought she must have changed her mind before her death.
She also told Caleb that he had saved her, and she couldn’t tell him the truth sooner because she didn’t want to change the way he saw her.
As Caleb battled with his anger at Anthony, Ruby begged him not to do anything, insisting that she couldn’t risk Steph finding out the truth about her paternity.
However, when Ruby was out of the way, Caleb collected a delivery, which was later revealed to be a gun.
We know that Anthony is set to be found dead next week, but could Caleb be the one to kill him?
