EastEnders legend Diane Parish has asked her followers to help her choose a new pair of glasses.
The Denise Fox actress, 55, is currently amid a huge love triangle storyline that will form a centrepiece of the BBC soap’s upcoming 40th anniversary celebrations.
Next month, during a live episode, viewers will be able to determine the outcome of the storyline through means of a public vote.
But will Denise choose ex-husband Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) or old flame Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara)? The power is well and truly in YOUR hands!
Discussing the history-making moment, EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw said: ‘We’re all so excited to give our audience their first ever chance to decide how one of our big storylines plays out.
‘Their votes will determine whether Denise picks Jack or Ravi, with the outcome being revealed as part of our live episode.
‘There is a lot to come over the next few weeks for all three involved, so it’ll be extremely exciting to see which way the audience choose to take the story!’
It’s been a busy year for Diane, having also been embroiled in the Christmas murder story in 2023, which dominated the following twelve months of plotlines.
Now, she’s taken to Instagram to ask fans for support in deciding her new look spectacles.
Alongside a video of her wearing a variety of frames, and one picture of her peering over a book, she wrote: ‘Help a sis out. Choosing new specs. Tortoiseshell or plain? It ain’t about looking like a library clerk.’
Another comical shot showed her wearing all four pairs at once.
Best pal and co-star Jessie Wallace commented: ‘The last look defo!’, to which Di replied: ‘Menopause Chic!’
Honey Mitchell actress Emma Barton added: ‘Brilliant Di.. love you in either..’
Former Holby City star Chizzy Akudolu penned: ‘Tortoise shell are my faves but all 4 for the win.’
It’s not just Jack and Ravi keeping Denise busy in Walford – there’s also the matter of her son Raymond’s father Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), whose mental health has spiralled in recent weeks.
The pair clashed at the youngster’s birthday party and then had a later altercation in the cafe when it was suggested that Raymond should change his surname to Fox, and not Mitchell.
Phil stormed out and fought tears as he had a moment of reflection in his garage.
