As well as moving from Channel 4 to E4 and reducing its episodes down from five nights a week to three back in September, it also carried out a huge time jump.
The move allowed for a cast cull – with around 20 actors leaving the show.
While things have calmed down lately, and the show has produced some hard-hitting and dramatic storylines, another cast member has now revealed they are leaving.
Actress Garcia Brown has played Zoe, the granddaughter of Pearl Anderson, for three years.
But taking to her Instagram, she has revealed she has left the show, and her final scenes have already aired.
On her Instagram Stories she reshared a post from one of the directors of them together on set which was captioned: “Saying goodbye to the fab @garciaabrown this week.
“Always a pleasure to work with such a positive and genuinely lovely person.”
She replied under his post: “Thank you for always being amazing, appreciated every scene we worked on! Our paths shall cross again Sean, God bless.”
“In another post, Garcia posed with her adorable on-screen son and she wrote: “I had thee cutest on screen son!
“Loved the little time we shared on set, thank you for trusting me with little Roman” before tagging in the tots mum.
In a second snap, the pair laughed together as she added: “Playing a mommy on screen was fun, and so was running around on set with this little one inbetween takes.”
Hollyoaks fans are gutted to see Garcia go, with one writing online: “She is amazing actress will miss her so much.”
Another added: “I am gutted her and Prince never worked out…. X”
A third agreed, writing: “I thought prince would’ve got back in time to stop them from leaving” alongside a crying emoji.
