Emmerdale star Laura Norton has teased some ‘amazing’ drama ahead of the soap’s icy death crash next month.

It was recently confirmed that lives will hang in the balance on the ITV show when a car plunges into an icy lake.

Laura has now confirmed that her character Kerry Wyatt is one of those who will be caught up in the epic stunt – and it seems viewers are in for a real treat.

Speaking to Metro, the actress said it had been ‘amazing’ shooting the scenes, revealing: ‘I am involved and it’s very, very exciting. One of the best experiences I’ve had since I joined the show nearly thirteen years ago.

‘I can’t wait for everybody to see the time that has been spent on it,’ she continued.

‘Lots of highs and lows, and a big group effort. It’s going to be amazing.’

Lucy Pargeter, who plays Chas Dingle, previously hinted fans will see her feature in the stunt too.

In a picture on her Instagram Story earlier this month, Lucy was seen in the back of what looked like a limousine, as snow and ice covered the backdrop behind the vehicle.

‘Can’t wait for you all to watch,’ she captioned the snap, which was also accompanied with a clip of Vanilla Ice’s 90s hit Ice Ice Baby.

Discussing what’s ahead, producer Laura Shaw said: ‘With winter nights having drawn in, our audience are enjoying cosy nights indoors whilst our fantastic team at Emmerdale have been recording gripping drama to bring to their screens.

‘The stunning backdrop of the village, from its rugged woodland to its wilder landscapes, set the perfect stage for what’s to come.

‘I’m thrilled for our audience to experience these episodes as they unfold, taking them on a chilling—quite literally—and perilous journey across the frozen ice.’

But with several Emmerdale favourites set to depart in 2025, will one – or more – of them meet an icy end?
