Coronation Street star reunites with on-screen love months after character exit

Coronation Street’s Daniel Brocklebank has reunited with Peter Ash just months after his final scenes.

Peter, as viewers know, played Paul Foreman on the ITV soap, who died last year following a diagnosis with motor neurone disease.

Husband Billy Mayhew, portrayed by Daniel, cared for him throughout his final few months.

But while Billy and Paul’s journey on-screen together has come to an end, co-stars Paul and Daniel have kept in touch, with a recent picture confirming that they recently met up.

‘Reunited!,’ he wrote on Instagram, sharing a picture with Peter. ‘In that there London!’.

Fans were quick to comment, with one writing: ‘We miss you 2 boys being together,’ while another added: ‘wish we could go back to the days we saw you both on screen together every night.’

Peter starred on the ITV soap as Paul Foreman for 5 years from 2019 appearing briefly the year before as a cellmate of David Platt’s.

The character died in emotional scenes in September last year – scenes that brought an end to along-running motor neurone disease story.
