Hollyoaks confirms unexpected ending for Abe as story collides with another
Abe Fielding’s (Tyler Conti) time runs out in Hollyoaks next week, though his comeuppance comes in an unexpected fashion, with the storyline in question colliding with another.
The villain, as viewers know, abused and controlled Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin) before taking her prisoner for over a year.
While Cleo was held captive, he embarked on a relationship with Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell), whom he subsequently raped.
Leela Dexter (Kirsty-Leigh Porter), meanwhile, was also raped by Abe during the ‘missing’ year.
With Abe having been arrested for kidnap, the walls are closing in on the master manipulator but, despite the ongoing police investigation, Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) suggests that those wronged by Abe take matters into their own hands and kill him.
Leela is filled with doubt about such a plan but Cleo, Mercedes and Peri argue that it’s the only way to prevent someone else from being hurt.
Feeling more confident following the pep talk, Leela tricks Abe into meeting her at the flat.
The abuser arrives, unaware that Cleo and Peri are waiting in him, but it doesn’t take him long to work out that it’s a trap and the three women are left in danger.
With all hell breaking loose, Abe makes his way to The Hutch on the establishment’s opening day, hoping to get some support from mum Marie (Rita Simons).
Marie, however, refuses to help, telling Abe that she’s ashamed of him for what he’s done. Angry, Abe retaliates by taking his mum hostage, much to the horror of those in attendance as he demands the car keys from the customers.
Elsewhere, Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) is left reeling to discover that Martha (Sherrie Hewson) has been speaking to Abe about their family drama – and that she may have let slip the location of Dilly Harcourt’s (Emma Johnsey-Smith) body.
Dilly, as viewers know, was devastatingly murdered by killer Jez (Jeremy Blake), who is now a confirmed serial killer,
Later, the clan in question are left in shock over what has unfolded in the village and, fearing that Abe will blab about Dilly’s murder, Sienna starts to wonder if it’s what they deserve.
Jez frets over the possibility of being separated from his loved ones. Will he claim another victim in Abe?
Or will the abuser be apprehended by police and held to account for his actions? Will Peri, Cleo and Leela get the justice they deserve? Or will killer Jez rob them of such a thing?
