ITV soap Coronation Street is giving fans the opportunity to bid for some of its character’s iconic costumes amid a big ‘clear out’.

As part of the ITV Reloved scheme, viewers are able to get their hands on costumes previously belonging to characters like Michelle Connor, Sinead Tinker, and Eva Price.

Items from the wardrobes of Liz McDonald and Rosie Webster are also available, as well as a shirt belonging to Jack Duckworth.

Taking to Instagram, ITV announced the ‘huge sale’, revealing that they had ‘over 50 items’ for sale on eBay.

It isn’t just costumes that viewers can get their hands on, with props and set pieces from different ITV shows available too.

Emmerdale fans can get their hands on a ‘Free Marlon Dingle’ poster, while Corrie watchers can pick up a barber’s trolley from Trim Up North.

The sale comes amid reports that ITV is facing a ‘cash crisis’, with budget cuts being made.

Over the last year, ITV has reportedly cut back on cast parties, with a source telling The Sun in 2024: ‘Like many companies this year, bosses have had to think about budgets and it was decided that a huge festive bash wasn’t the best idea.’

‘People can celebrate in smaller groups if they wish, but there won’t be the usual shindig that the cast and crew have come to love.

‘It’s been a difficult year in lots of ways and despite the show smashing it on screen, there has been lots of changes behind the scenes.’

ITV also revealed that Coronation Street wouldn’t be taking a float to Manchester Pride in 2024, for the first time in over ten years.

A spokesperson for ITV told Metro at the time: ‘ITV cast and colleagues will be present in a personal capacity however this year we won’t be having a formal entry.

‘We continue to underline our commitment to our LGBTQ+ colleagues and viewers across the year and our celebration of Pride includes our ‘This Living Room is a Proud One’ on air campaign starring Alan Carr.’

Over the past few weeks, several Corrie cast members have announced their upcoming departures from the show, including Eileen Grimshaw star Sue Cleaver, and Charlotte Jordan, who plays Daisy Midgeley.

Colson Smith is also set to film his final scenes as Craig Tinker this year, as Paddy Bever says goodbye to his role as Max Turner.

While fears mounted for the future of the show, cast members took to social media to assure fans that it was still growing strong.

Kirk Sutherland actor Andy Whyment led the charge with a post on Instagram, with numerous cast members including Jane Danson and Vicky Myers agreeing that Corrie was a lovely place to work and not ‘on its knees’, as rumours have claimed.
