Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) was fuming at Cain (Jeff Hordley) in Thursday’s Emmerdale.
Over the last few weeks, the couple have been in a relatively good place. They seriously clashed in the aftermath of Matty (Ash Palmisciano) getting arrested but fortunately, reunited after the death of Minty the Lamb.
As it stands, Samson’s future looks bleak. He has confessed the truth surrounding being stabbed by Matty and is now counting down the days until his plea hearing.
However, because Samson has accepted his fate rather than running away from it, he knows he will go to prison, regardless of how the hearing plays out.
In last night’s episode, Samson turned to Cain for some advice. He wanted to prepare himself before going behind bars, which essentially involved Cain throwing punches at the teen multiple times.
To be fair, there was method to Cain and Sam’s (James Hooton) madness. Putting Samson in the tense situation of dodging punches and taking some was basically mirroring daily life in prison.
As Sam and Lydia (Karen Blick) arrived outside with some beers in hand, the group of Dingles failed to spot Moira approaching.
When the beers were cracked open, Cain, Sam and Samson laughed as they were sprayed everywhere. While it was a light moment for them, to Moira, it only made her angry.
Approaching, Moira confronted Cain and wondered why he was helping Samson, who was partly responsible for Matty’s traumatic time in prison.
For a moment, it looked as though Moira was going to punch Cain. He tried to goad her into doing so but instead, she dusted herself down, approached her husband and told him to not bother coming home tonight.
A difficult moment indeed – what does the future hold for Moira and Cain?
Was this another blip, or a sign their relationship is falling apart?
