Sonia’s doubts over Bianca exposed in EastEnders as she ‘discovers shocking truth’
Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) has a surprising reaction after finally watching her sister Bianca Jackson’s (Patsy Palmer) ‘confession’ video in EastEnders this week.
As fans of the BBC soap know, Bianca was taken hostage by Sonia’s fiancé Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) back in November after she uncovered evidence that he smothered his comatose wife Debbie to death.
Sonia was later wrongfully arrested and put on trial for Debbie’s murder, and in a bid to secure her and her sister’s freedom, Bianca recorded herself confessing to the crime.
With Sonia subsequently found innocent and released, she has been unconvinced about Bianca’s supposed guilt.
She’s been desperate to see her sister’s ‘confession’ for herself but Reiss has stopped at nothing to prevent her from getting her hands on a copy.
In scenes to air this week, Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) goes to see Sonia to voice her concerns about Bianca’s ‘confession’, saying she knows Sonia also doubts that Bianca killed Debbie.
Sonia eventually admits to Lauren that she thinks Bianca only confessed to save her and begs her uncle Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) to use his connections in the police to get her a copy of the video.
After her comes through with the goods, Sonia asks him not to tell Reiss she’s going to watch it.
But as she readies herself to watch it secretly, Reiss catches her and tries to stop her.
Eventually, he’s forced to back down, but reluctantly agrees to watch it with her.
However, her reaction isn’t one he was expecting – what surprising thing has she seen?
There’s also bad news for an AWOL Bianca, when Sonia is later informed that a warrant has been issued for her arrest…
