Multiple lives are put in peril next week in Emmerdale as a limo crashes into a frozen lake.
And when we say multiple – we mean a massive 16 characters.
Before disaster strikes, Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) decides he’s going to propose to Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter). Instead of a simple proposal though, Liam plans to make it completely and utterly unforgettable.
‘Liam plans to propose to Chas but do it in an exciting and romantic manner. He’s heard Take A Vow have organised a valentine raffle, with the prize being a trip in a limousine. So Liam decides he’s going to buy up about eighty percent of the tickets, just to make sure he’s the winner’, Jonny explained.
Unfortunately, Liam’s plan is brought to a halt when Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) ends up winning.
Despite the setback though, Liam’s still determined, as Jonny said: ‘Poor Liam is then forced to come up with another plan to ensure he can still go through with proposing in a limo to Chas.
‘So acquires another limo hired from Suzy and hopes his plan is sorted and back on track. But then he learns the girls have decided to have an entirely girls night hour in their limo, so Chas is no longer free that evening.
‘He feels a bit defeated so it ends up with Liam suggesting that the lads could all have a night out in the other limousine.’
With that, Kerry gathers her pals together, while Liam does the same.
So, in the girls limo, as revealed by Jonny, will be: ‘Chas, obviously, Kerry the prize winner, Leyla, Suzy, Amy, Vanessa, Charity and Mandy but Mandy has to run off and sort an issue before they set off.’
And in the other: ‘Cain, Caleb, Bear and Paddy, Mackenzie, Matty and Sam and Liam. They are somewhat held up from leaving the village as the girls’ limo has got delayed and is blocking their way. Liam is pleased so many have turned up suited and booted – all very James Bondesque.’

Reluctantly becoming drivers for the vehicles are Caleb and Charity. They set off but as the fun evening turns chaotic, one limo ends up swerving and ending up in the middle of a frozen lake.
‘I hope the audience will be enthralled by this’, Jonny told us.
‘This is the first time I’ve done something of this magnitude stunt wise. Our DOP (Director of Photography) Chris Ramage told me that a lot of the shots are the best he’s seen in his 30 years here at Emmerdale.’
It’s going to be dramatic!
