Does Toyah die after attack from Abi as things get much worse in Coronation Street?
Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) was left in a worrying condition in last night’s episode of Coronation Street, after being attacked by Abi Webster (Sally Carman) and getting caught in the fire at the Platt’s house.
Abi has been struggling with her mental health since finding Mason Radcliffe bleeding to death from a stab wound in the precinct in January.
She has been haunted by visions of dead son Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni), which have prevented her from thinking clearly.
Because of this, she previously left son Alfie alone in her car, where Toyah later found him.
Concerned, Toyah contacted social services, which left Abi devastated.
In last night’s episode, Abi came to realise that it was Toyah who reported her after Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) revealed how worried she had been, and she was determined to confront her.
After learning that Toyah was at the Platt’s house dispersing Hope Stape’s (Isabella Flanagan) séance, Abi headed over and accused her of being jealous that Abi was a parent when she wasn’t.
Toyah insisted that she had just acted in Alfie’s best interests, but Abi was soon distracted as she began to hallucinate Seb once more.
Panicking, she lashed out when Toyah tried to touch her, pushing her away.
As Toyah stumbled backwards, she hit her head on the kitchen counter, knocking her unconscious, before a panicked Abi fled the scene.
However, things took a terrifying twist when a mystery assailant set the Platt’s house on fire, with Toyah still inside!
As the flames took hold, Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) braved the smoke to search for Toyah, and eventually managed to pull her from the burning building.
Though she was still unconscious, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) confirmed that she had a pulse.
However, with the ambulance yet to arrive, is she truly out of the woods yet?
