Emmerdale fans were gobsmacked spotting a ‘fresh face’ in the Dingle clan. The Dingles, Emmerdale’s legendary family, have been through the wringer lately, and it’s only going to get more intense as young Samson (played by Sam Hall) stares down the barrel of a hefty prison sentence next week.

The lad’s in hot water after spilling the beans about his stabbing ordeal with Matty (Ash Palmisciano). Remember last month when bad boy Josh Cope (Osian Morgan) and Samson tried to nick from The Hide.? They cornered Matty, but things went pear-shaped when Josh shoved Samson into Matty, who accidentally stabbed him with a knife he was holding.

Both Josh and Samson fibbed, claiming Matty did the deed on purpose, landing Matty behind bars. But Samson couldn’t keep up the lie and owned up, proving Matty’s innocence, reports the Express.

Even so, terrified of the bully, he kept schtum about Josh’s involvement. And now, Samson’s gearing up for his plea hearing in court next week.

But in Thursday’s show (August 1), viewers were left scratching their heads over a mysterious new Dingle dog. As Samson came downstairs to walk the pooch, fans were quick to question the canine’s sudden appearance.

One eagle-eyed viewer dashed to an Emmerdale fan page on Facebook, posting: “Where did that Dingle dog spring from? I’ve not seen it in ages.”

Another viewer entered the chat on the media platform, stating: “That’s Monty Zack rescued him.” Meanwhile, a different fan pointed out: “Seems to me to be a different dog. Emmerdale is just not consistent these days.”

Yet another jumped in, musing: “Wonder where he’s not been in it for ages, he’s just appeared out of nowhere but I’m glad he’s back.” And someone else added their two cents: “Looks like a different dog.”
