Emmerdale’s Joe Tate reveals frightening true colours as he loses it with Noah
Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) has been somewhat of a question mark since he returned to Emmerdale – why is he suddenly so close to Kim? Why is he suddenly Mr Nice Guy? Why is he trying to get close to Noah Dingle (Jack Downham)?
At least two of those are set to be answered after Joe gets a taste of his own medicine.
He’s been up to no good with Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) too, having an affair behind Billy Fletcher’s (Jay Kontzle) back, but this secret is on the verge of coming out after Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) stole a laptop and found incriminating audio that revealed Dawn and Joe’s sexy encounters.
Kim Tate (Claire King) had planted a bug in Joe’s room and had listened into his conversations. Having nicked Kim’s laptop, Charity then became privy to these private times – including his intimate moments with Dawn.
Armed with this information, she lets Joe in on the fact that she knows he’s been a dirty dog. But this also clues Joe in on the fact that Kim does not trust him.
Now aware of the bug, he aims to throw her off scent with a faked family phone call. He must protect his good guy image.
Elsewhere, with Noah planning to take Joe up on his offer to go to Dubai, Charity and Sarah do their best to get him to change his mind. They lay it on thick about how much he’ll miss home.
Their plan works and fickle Noah agrees to stay. He tells Joe, but is not expecting Joe’s furious reaction.
Noah is resolute on his decision to stay, but he hits a snag – overnight, all off his tools are stolen. No prizes for guessing where they’ve gone.
With no business and no tools, Noah is forced to return to Joe with his tail between his legs and accept his Dubai offer. Joe is elated and they celebrate. Whatever plan Joe is hiding, it is coming together.
But just as Joe is overcome with self-satisfaction, Noah drops a clanger – he and Charity know Joe stole the tools.
Him accepting Joe’s offer to head to Dubai was all a ruse. Joe is incensed at the trickery that has been turned on him.
But he’s not about to roll over and accept this deceit.
Instead, he takes a mysterious phone call about Noah. What’s his plan for revenge?
