EastEnders threw a curveball for lovers Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) on Tuesday when he shared an unexpected passionate moment with ex Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan-Levy).
Denise and Ravi have been enjoying a secret fling for weeks now, but she has been conflicted by her residual feelings for ex-husband Jack Branning (Scott Maslen).
As the BBC soap builds towards its 40th anniversary – where fans will vote on whether Denise ends up with Ravi or Jack – the latest episode saw her connection with Jack knawing away at a jealous Ravi.
Things were tense between Denise and Ravi after he failed to help her out when the fusebox at the salon blew.
Fortunately, Jack came to the rescue and managed to restore the power to her business, before the exes then enjoyed a celebratory beer and reminisced over old times.
As Ravi arrived at the salon, he was wounded to see Denise sharing a moment with Jack and quickly made his excuses to leave.
Back at the Panesars’, he caught ex Priya in a reflective mood after their son Nugget Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) touchingly told his mum he loved her.
Having found out Ravi had been dealing drugs to club owner Nicola Mitchell (Laura Dodington) earlier in the episode, the former couple then reflected on their troubled younger years when they were both involved in drugs.
Priya then tearfully confessed she was worried about Nugget and sister Avani Nandra-Hart (Aalyiah James) losing their dad to drugs, just as she had lost him years earlier.
As Ravi comforted Priya with a hug, she then leaned in for a kiss – to which he responded by going in for a second.
Has the Denise/Rav/Jack love triangle just got that bit more complicated?
