Coronation Street ‘confirms’ who will take down Rob as he plans to escape
Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis) is definitely up to something in Coronation Street, after recent scenes saw him conspiring with someone on the other end of a phone.
The killer recently agreed to donate his kidney to estranged sister Carla Connor (Alison King) when she was left needing a transplant after contracting sepsis.
In last night’s episode, Carla was informed that Rob would be tested to see if his kidney was a match the following day, so she headed to the prison to give him the news.
When she told him that he would be tested in prison instead of taken to hospital, he expressed his disappointment, making out that he had been looking forward to a day out.
It was clear that Carla was suspicious that there may be more to it, which she voiced to girlfriend Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) when she got home.
Though Lisa tried to reassure her, Carla couldn’t shake the feeling that Rob was up to something.
Determined to put her mind at rest, Lisa did some digging and got in touch with one of her contacts from the prison.
She reported back to Carla that Rob appeared to be the model prisoner, but that if anything was amiss then Lisa would be the first to know.
She may be set to get a call sooner rather than later, as the reason behind Rob’s displeasure at not being able to leave the prison soon became clear.

After checking the coast was clear, Rob pulled out a mobile phone and made a call, informing the person on the other end that they needed a new plan.
Could Rob be plotting to use the transplant as an opportunity to escape?
Will Carla get the kidney she so desperately needs, or will Rob betray her at the last minute?
With her contacts keeping their eyes and ears open, will Lisa be able to foil Rob’s plan, and ensure he sticks to his word?
