Following Kim Tate’s (Claire King) major discovery in Emmerdale we’ve been left with one question – where is Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco)?

Rose disappeared after Kim learnt of her and Ruby’s (Beth Cordingly) plot to destroy Home Farm. As a new week begins in the Dales, we don’t know where Rose is, let alone what happened to her.

As Will (Dean Andrews) and Kim feel the guilt, they continue to snap and argue.

When Dawn (Olivia Bromley) arrives, Will feels awful when she suggests hiring a private investigator to find Rose.

Approaching Kim, Will raises the prospect of hiring a PI, and she tries to come up with a plan.

As she ponders, Kim arrives in the village and spots Caleb (William Ash) and decides to absolutely relish in revealing what his wife has been up to. While Ruby deals with the fallout of Caleb’s discovery, Kim heads back to Home Farm and proposes she and Will send a message from Rose’s phone to put Dawn off the scent and to call off the search.

Will’s aware this is a good idea but he has one niggling thought – how did Kim get Rose’s phone in the first place?

In the week, Dawn is devastated to receive a message from Rose that says she won’t be returning.

As Kim and Will struggle to keep their secrets, when will we find out what happened to Dawn’s mum?

Will Rose ever return?

‘I think she snaps because she’s got this lioness within her, so she’s very protective of her family’, Claire King explained recently.

‘When she goes, she goes, but it’s usually for a reason. And what she thinks is a good reason might not be a good reason to somebody else. But she always sees it as a good reason. So I do defend her on those sorts of things, though she does kind of go to extremes at times.

‘It’s been a very nice sort of two or three years of playing happy families. I think that it’s always going to be within her and it’s going to come out at some point. I fear for Rose and I fear for Ruby.’
