Samson’s final fate revealed as his sentencing is confirmed in Emmerdale
(Emmerdale: Cain predicts worst for Samson and then Lydia enters alone)
It is the moment Sam Dingle (James Hooton) has been dreading – when he learns for how long beloved son Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) is to be sent away after he came clean about lying to the police in Emmerdale.
Samson took the full blame for the lies that got Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) wrongfully sent down, mostly through fear of repercussions from nasty lad Josh.
But now boldly feeling he has nothing to lose, Samson takes action that results in him making things harder for himself.
Samson is still refusing to dob Josh in and Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) is still spitting feathers about it, viewing it that Samson is ‘protecting’ Josh.

While she’s not entirely wrong, Samson manages to find his courage and stands up to Josh, because in his mind, he is going to jail anyway so he’s got nothing left to lose.
Nothing except more freedom, which he finds out the hard way. In a moment of bravery, Samson takes on Josh to give him a taste of his own medicine but finds himself getting arrested.
The timing couldn’t be worse – Sam and Lydia (Karen Blick) are horrified to hear this has happened while he’s awaiting sentencing.
To make matters even more painful, it becomes clear that someone shopped Samson to the police, and the number one suspect is moody-faced Moira.
Moira is pleased Samson gets arrested but maintains innocence – but even Cain (Jeff Hordley) can’t believe she wasn’t the one to pick up the phone.
As Samson’s fate is revealed in court, the rest of Samson’s family and friends discuss the situation in the Woolpack, as a new spoiler video shows.
Cain is insistent that things won’t turn out well for the lad, much to the horror of Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell).
The Woolpack is silenced as Lydia wanders in looking sombre, but what news does she have?
