Emmerdale’s Dominic Brunt and Joshua Richards have confirmed the upcoming limo crashes will ‘end in tears’ for everyone involved.

At the end of this week, disaster will strike for 16 residents of the village.

Prior to the catastrophes, Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) will organise another evening in a limo after losing at the raffle. As both vehicles arrive in the village, multiple members of the Dales get suited and booted.

In one vehicle will be Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton), Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi), Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough), Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson), Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick), Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley).

In the other – Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), Caleb Miligan (William Ash), Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards), Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt), Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano), Sam Dingle (James Hooton) and Liam.

Drivers Charity and Caleb then set off, but it isn’t long until situations occur in both vehicles that put lives in jeopardy, as stars Joshua and Dominic explained:

‘The two limos head out of the village together. They turn in different directions at the top of the village and take their own routes but later both vehicles are involved in crashes – although the crashes are unrelated to each other’, Joshua said.

Dominic noted: ‘They drive them very badly and that’s why it all ends in tears. There’s a huge cliff hanger at the end of this episode – a literal cliff hanger – as some people will leave this earth!

He added: ‘The set they built at the village was amazing. They created this huge lake out of wax and we filmed with all these night shoots. The lake looked so realistic.

‘I can’t wait for the audience to see it. The limousine sequences were complex but it was a very enjoyable block to record.’

Reflecting on their reactions to reading the scripts for these episodes, Dominic revealed: ‘When we first got the scripts before I had even read them – I turned to Lisa Riley and said are we going to die in this car? She told me to keep reading!’.

Joshua smiled: ‘It was incredible – it really felt exciting to be a part of this week. As it all starts with them having a good time. But then the atmosphere changes. It was my first time doing the big stunt week on Emmerdale so I was pleased to be a part of it.

‘Please do watch it – as lives are definitely in peril.’
