New nightmare Coronation Street neighbour already has her eyes on someone despite being married
Newcomer Lou Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty) hit the cobbles of Coronation Street in last night’s episode, and she’s already causing heaps of chaos.
She proved just what a handful she is set to be when she confronted Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) about the price of nappies in the corner shop, trying her best to wrangle a discount out of him.
When Aadi claimed that they didn’t do discounts, Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) interjected to point out that soon-to-be father-in-law Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) often gave her a discount.
When Aadi argued that it was different because she was family, Lou suggested using Gemma’s discount, only for Aadi to order her to shop elsewhere.
As she left, she threatened to bring her daughter in to do a dirty protest, before realising that she knew Gemma from the Bessie Street school gates.
Later, Gemma was surprised to bump into Lou again when she came into the Rovers for a drink.
They easily fell into some friendly banter, as Gemma warned that she wouldn’t be getting a discount here either.
It was clear the pair were really starting to bond when Lou kept Gemma company during her shift, though Gemma wasn’t the only member of staff she was interested in.
As Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) headed downstairs to change a barrel, Lou revealed that she fancied him, much to Gemma’s horror.
Gemma was quick to point out that Ryan was like family, but Lou was keen to see where things would go with him, insisting that she was bored.
After encouraging Gemma to try a cocktail, it didn’t take long for both women to get drunk, and soon Lou accidentally revealed her attraction to Ryan to the barman himself.
However, before anything untoward could occur, Lou headed off to see her husband.
