Hollyoaks airs game-changing Vicky and Freddie twist in early streaming release
Plus Vicky's blackmailer is revealed.
Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Wednesday’s episode (February 19), which is available to watch now on streaming service Channel 4 and hasn’t yet aired on TV.
Hollyoaks has aired a game-changing twist involving Vicky Grant and Freddie Roscoe’s affair, in the show’s latest episode.
In recent months, Vicky has strayed from her partner Robbie and slept with his brother Freddie several times. This resulted in a pregnancy, and while Vicky tragically suffered a miscarriage, Robbie wrongly assumed the baby was his.
Vicky has struggled to choose between the Roscoe brothers, but she made a decision and proposed to Robbie, with the couple officially getting engaged.
At the engagement party, she received a text from a number claiming to be Freddie, who asked her to send an intimate picture. She complied, then later got another text telling her to pay up or they will post the image everywhere.
In today’s episode, Vicky called round to see Freddie and accused him of blackmailing her. When she realised it wasn’t his number, she explained that she now owes £5,000.
Vicky asked him to help her, but Freddie made it clear that they were done and she would have to fix her own mess.
Freddie and Robbie later waited at the hospital for news on Oscar to help out Nancy, and Robbie thanked his brother for being there for him during this difficult time.
Taking Grace’s advice, Vicky tried a different tactic to get the money and told Robbie that she needed it for a wedding venue deposit – which worked, as her fiancé stumped up the cash.
But it was then revealed that Vicky was being blackmailed by Dillon, who was desperately trying to retrieve some ‘missing’ money for an impressed Rex.
At The Dog, Robbie had a surprise gift for Freddie, revealing that he had bought the garage back from Mercedes and the family business was his again.
Freddie also found out that Robbie had unknowingly given Vicky the blackmail money, and as his brother happily looked to the future, the guilt finally got too much for him.
“I’m so sorry, Rob,” Freddie confessed. “I never meant to hurt you. But that baby you lost? It wasn’t yours. It was mine. We slept together.”
With Vicky’s huge secret now out in the open, how will Robbie react?
