Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) got quite a shock on Christmas Day in Coronation Street when she found out she was pregnant, with her baby having two possible fathers.
Unsure whether it was her relationship with Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) or her one-night stand with Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) that had resulted in her pregnancy, Daisy told Kit that he was the father, before revealing to Daniel that it could actually be him.
When Daisy announced her pregnancy and the two possible fathers in the Rovers and completely blew apart Daniel’s engagement to Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon), he demanded that she get a DNA test so that they would know for sure who the dad was.
Daisy agreed, but when the results of the test came back, she decided to keep them to herself.
However, Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) believed that the father had a right to know, and ended up telling Daniel that the baby was his.
This came as a great delight for Daniel, who was keen to make a go of things with Daisy for the sake of their new little bundle of joy.
All of this would have been wonderful, if it wasn’t for the fact that Jenny had got the wrong end of the stick, and the baby was actually Kit’s.
With Daniel getting excited, it wasn’t long before half of Weatherfield knew that he was the expecting father, and things only got worse when Kit arrived, leaving Daisy horrified.
Wanting to be honest, Daisy decided to come clean about who the baby’s real dad was – only for Daniel to throw a spanner in the works.
As Daisy tried to tell the truth, Daniel revealed that he had agreed with Jenny to buy the pub for them, so that they could pay back the money they owed Carla Connor (Alison King).
Seeing Daniel so excited about the new baby and desperately wanting to keep Carla off her back, Daisy ultimately decided to keep quiet about the baby’s real paternity.
Will her decision come back to bite her and break a few hearts along the way?
