The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale that hasn’t aired on ITV yet, but can be viewed on ITVX.

Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) began to question John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale as Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) highlighted something important about a recent murder.

A few weeks ago, after Aaron attacked Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day), he returned to the depot with John and found the evil man dead.

It left Aaron convinced he had killed Anthony, unaware during the period of time he wasn’t at the depot, Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) had entered and killed her father.

Before learning of this information, Aaron and John worked together to try and cover up the murder. As a former member of the army, John told Aaron that he’d find disposing of Anthony’s body a lot easier to process than him.

After doing this, John refused to tell Aaron where Anthony’s body was, convinced matters would be made worse if he knew.

Once the couple learnt the truth about Ruby’s involvement, they agreed along with Chas, Cain (Jeff Hordley) and Caleb (William Ash) to keep Anthony’s murder a secret.

The risk of the pact being destroyed increased a few days ago, when Caleb tried to frame Cain in an act of revenge.

In tonight’s episode, Chas and Aaron continued to discuss the possibility of handing themselves into the police.

When topic of conversation turned to the location of Anthony’s body, Chas was taken aback when Aaron confirmed he doesn’t know where it is.

Chas said it was strange John hasn’t said anything, and that suspicion was then absorbed by Aaron.

Once he had discovered Aaron’s worries, John hosted a meeting with the group at a secret location.

There, John said that if one person doesn’t stick to their plan, the entire group will fall apart.

Knowing he needs to be trusted more, John then confirmed the location of Anthony’s grave.

As the evening drew in, Caleb visited the pub and told his brother that he’d stop with the troublesome behaviour, because he knows John’s comments about sticking together are right.

When Chas mentioned Ruby, Caleb told her that while he is worried, she will get through this ordeal if they all continue with their plan.

Unbeknownst to Caleb, Ruby was back at the location of her father’s grave.

She broke down in tears, the weight of everything clearly overwhelming her.
