Coronation Street local kicked out by Weatherfield legends after twisted act
Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) is finally facing the consequences of her actions in Coronation Street after being caught out for drugging Ken Barlow (William Roache).
After being employed as his carer, Cassie grew fond of Ken and her new way of making a living, so when he decided to lay her off it hit her hard.
In a bid to ensure that he still relied on her, she started lacing his tea with antihistamines to make him drowsy and unwell.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, she also started using his credit card to buy herself little treats, as well as extras she could sell on before pocketing the profits.
Fortunately, Ken finally wised up to her antics in recent scenes and confronted her, with Cassie confessing to everything.
After ordering Cassie out, Ken’s health took a horrifying turn for the worse as he suffered a heart attack, before being rushed to hospital to have a stent fitted.
Meanwhile, Cassie attempted to make her escape from Coronation Street, but was soon apprehended by police and arrested for her crime.
In last night’s episode, she was released from custody, but it was safe to say that she didn’t get a warm welcome when she arrived back on the cobbles.
Guilty Cassie was forced to face a humiliated Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) and Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall), who were horrified by her actions and terrified that they would reflect badly on them.
Determined to distance themselves from Cassie’s crime spree, they promptly asked her to move out, much to the disappointment of granddaughter Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan), who later told her parents’ they were out of order.

However, it wasn’t just Fiz and Tyrone who were appalled by Cassie’s behaviour, as she soon found out when she headed to the Rovers for a drink.
After Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) reluctantly served her, Cassie was hounded by Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) and Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson), who refused to believe that she regretted what she’d done.
When Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) arrived, he sternly ordered Cassie out, and she soon obliged, hanging her head in shame.
Will Cassie ever be able to make it up to her furious neighbours?
