Now stepping into the world of soapland, Joshua is ready to make his mark – but what secrets does his past hold?
Here’s everything you need to know about the man behind the new Dales hunk.
The actor plays newcomer Rich Thompson, a friend of Jacob Gallagher’s (Joe-Warren Plant), who has become the main suspect in Noah Dingle’s drug-spiking mystery.
He has also shown a romantic interest in Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper).
Upcoming scenes will see Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and Belle interrogate Rich on his drug use and accuse him of spiking Noah, which sparked the limo to crash and caused the death of Leyla, Amy Barton (Natalie Ann Jamieson), and Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough).
Can he survive the grilling and convince the villagers he is innocent?
Prior to his big break on the ITV soap, Joshua showcased his acting on stage featuring in productions Romeo and Juliet and The Merchant of Venice at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.
After his performance on the infamous stage, Joshua took to his Instagram page to share a captured moments from his experience behind-the-scenes.
He captioned the snaps: “Romeo and Juliet at the globe, bucket list. What. A. Show. Working with all you talented people on the Globe stage has been a dream come true. Thanks for everything and on to the next.”
He also appeared in the music video for Leon Bridges’ song Why Don’t You Touch Me.
Joshua’s Instagram offers a sneak peek into his glam life, including snaps from his sun-soaked getaway to Montenegro.
His most recent post shows photos of the Emmerdale set, including the village hospital and snaps of watching himself on a TV screen.
