Tracy seethes in Coronation Street spoiler video – but a twist follows

Coronation Street’s Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) is not going to let Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) off the hook for drugging her dad Ken Barlow (William Roache) – even if he is prepared to.

A spoiler video for this week’s episodes have revealed how Tracy will try to get the police to arrest Cassie, after Ken refuses to testify against her.

For the last few months, Cassie had been lacing Ken’s drinks with antihistamines in order to keep him dependent on her.

After Ken found out, he was left fighting for his life after suffering a heart attack.

Now out of hospital, Ken is strangely missing Cassie and has resolved not to pursue a case against her, enraging daughter Tracy.

On Friday, she heads to the police station, seething at Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) for failing to arrest Cassie.

As you can see in the video above, he makes it clear that without Ken testifying that Cassie poisoned him, the police are unable to anything.

But Tracy is not about to let sleeping dogs lie, and fans will see her take matters into her own hands – with dangerous consequences.

Seeking revenge, she summons Cassie to No.1, under the premise that they should thrash out their differences over lunch.

But Cassie is then stunned when, instead of a sandwich or some soup, Tracy serves up a bag of drugs, which she urges the former addict to get stuck into.

Will she be able to resist?

‘There’s a moment of, “Well I might as well just do it. I’ve got nothing else,”’ reveals actress Claire Sweeney, who plays Cassie. ‘It’s just a quick escape route if she takes those drugs.

‘But there’s a moment of “Tracy has completely won,” and Cassie doesn’t want that. She wants to keep her dignity, she wants to stay in control.’

Coronation Street airs these scenes from Friday 14 March at 8pm on ITV1 or stream first from 7am on ITVX.
