Rob returns to Coronation Street to take revenge – and a child is the target
Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis) is out for revenge in Coronation Street, and his plot will seem him target a vulnerable local.
The killer used sister Carla Connor’s (Alison King) desperation for a new kidney as an opportunity to escape prison and go on the run.
After donating his kidney, he managed to sneak out of hospital, before taking Carla and girlfriend Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) hostage.
Believing that Rob had seriously hurt Lisa, Carla pushed him down the stairs as he attempted to make a run for it, leaving him unconscious at the bottom.
Though Lisa failed to find a pulse and declared him dead, Rob actually survived the attack, and managed to get away from the crime scene without being caught.
He has been on the run ever since, leaving Carla and Lisa on edge – especially when Carla found her front door open and signs that someone had been in her flat in recent scenes.

In upcoming episodes, Lisa is thrown into panic when she finds that Betsy Swain’s (Sydney Martin) bed hasn’t been slept in.
Thankfully, Betsy soon returns home with nothing more serious than a hangover, much to Lisa’s relief.
The detective is quick to explain that with Rob still on the loose, it isn’t safe for Betsy to be going out alone.
However, Betsy brushes off her concerns and heads out anyway – only to later realise that her mum was right to be worried.

At the precinct, Betsy suddenly becomes aware that she’s being followed.
Determined to lose her pursuer, she sets off at speed, but soon realises that she is being chased.
Soon, her worst fears become a reality as it becomes clear that the man on her trail is none other than Rob…
Is Betsy set to get hurt as Rob enacts revenge on Carla and Lisa?
