Former Coronation Street star Helen Flangan has shared a number of loved up snaps from a date night with her new partner Robbie Talbot.
The star, 34, is best known for playing Rosie Webster on the ITV soap intermittently between 2000 and 2018.
During an appearance on Celebs Go Dating, she revealed that despite the nature of the show, she wasn’t actually looking for love.
‘This is really difficult because I feel I have given the agency my heart and soul and I have been totally honest – I am a very, very honest person – but I did meet someone at home at the beginning of the year,’ she admitted.
‘I really wanted to join the agency because I felt like, because I was in a long-term relationship and didn’t have much dating experience, and I really wanted to do this for me and grow and find out about myself, but it’s really hard because there is somebody at home that I have fallen for.
‘This has become quite difficult for me now, because unfortunately, I am comparing everybody to him and it’s making it very difficult now when I’m dating.’
It was revealed that her new beau is former pro footballer Robbie, 44.
Helen split from her long-term partner Scott Sinclair and father to her three children, two years ago.
Now, in a new Instagram post, she has celebrated her relationship with pictures from a getaway in Liverpool.
‘Such a nice date night the other day’ she wrote.
‘I love Liverpool as a city, always so fun. Me and Robbie have five kids between us so it’s nice to have a night away
‘The sun was shining, so happy spring is finally here. We stayed at a gorgeous penthouse @ropewalkshotel_liverpool.’
She added that Robbie ‘always makes [her] laugh’ and added a picture of the ‘gorgeous roof terrace of the the penthouse.’
‘He ran me a bath and brought me up a hot coffee as I get so tired from my kids.’
Last year she told The Sun about the happiness she had found: ‘What I love about Robbie, my boyfriend, is he’s very level headed.
‘I have to say, I do think as a girl, I’m very much a boyfriend kind of girl. I always like to have a boyfriend.
‘And I think what it is, I think I like a guy to be there for me, I think I like a boy for more to be there for me, there kind of emotionally and what have you.’
She continued: ‘Robbie really reminds me of home. He’s very northern, and he’s very Scouse. He’s just lovely. And it just reminds me of home.
‘He’s a really genuine, lovely man, and he’s the funniest man I’ve ever met. Scousers are just a laugh.
‘He’s just really lovely. He’s very understanding as well. I sometimes come quite complex, but he’s very understanding and very kind and lovely and patient.’
