Billy makes cheating confession to Dawn in Emmerdale after online antics
Emmerdale’s Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) has put everything at risk to enjoy an ill-advised fling with bad lad Joe Tate (Ned Porteous). The guilt, though it hasn’t stopped her, has kept her awake at night. She needn’t have worried, it seems.
Turns out Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) isn’t exactly holier than thou, as Dawn giving him the cold shoulder lately has made him also start to look elsewhere.
Feeling ignored, the first red flag flew when Billy started looking at Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker).
Manpreet previously had a crush on Billy and even tried to kiss him. History repeats itself as the couple have a near kiss moment. As Manpreet drops Billy home, he’s feeling guilty.
He finds Dawn in a bad mood – brought on by Joe spurning her advances. She is feeling guilty too as well as rejected.
Joe soon changes his mind and starts chasing after Dawn again, much to her joy and her raging horn. Billy, meanwhile, is now incredibly awkward around Manpreet – but awkwardness like this is a precursor to more as the sexual tension is palpable.
But Billy has a heart of gold, unlike Dawn’s made of ice, and he can’t cope with his conscience.

Before he knows it, he blurts out the full truth to Dawn – it’s not just the near miss kiss that’s bothering him, he’s been messaging other women online, clearly with the intention to do more.
Strangely, she doesn’t explode in the way he expects her to. Instead, she’s calm and shows him forgiveness and understanding.
Billy is perplexed, with no idea that while he’s only got as far as messaging, Dawn has gone the whole way with Joe – many times.
But Billy doesn’t realise the profound affect his confession has had on Dawn. What kind of person is she when she’s happy to carry on behind Billy’s back while he can’t cope with merely messaging women?
This could be the wake-up call that Dawn needs, but with Joe now hot for her again, can she bring herself to walk away?
Will Joe even let her?
