Betsy’s terror as Carla leaves her in danger in Coronation Street
Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) was left terrified in recent Coronation Street scenes, but her fears are only set to get worse next week.
The teen has been caught up in the middle of Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) and Carla Connor’s (Alison King) dangerous feud with Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis).
After agreeing to donate a kidney to his sister, Rob used the opportunity to escape custody, determined not to go back to prison after serving over ten years behind bars for the murder of Tina McIntyre.
However, his escape plot was thwarted by Lisa, which led Rob to take even more desperate measures by attacking Lisa and kidnapping Carla.
After learning that Rob had hurt Lisa, Carla pushed him down the stairs of the office block he was holding her in, leaving him for dead.
With Rob having survived the fall, he has been trying to evade capture ever since, though he has certainly been pushing boundaries.
In recent scenes, he took a big risk by following Betsy through the precinct.
Having ignored her mother’s warnings that Rob was on the loose and dangerous, Betsy was left completely terrified as she ran to DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) for help.
The ordeal has clearly taken its toll on poor Betsy, as she continues to spiral in next week’s episodes.

With Betsy refusing to leave the flat, Lisa is at a loss of what to do.
Thankfully, girlfriend Carla offers to stay at home and keep an eye on her, much to Lisa’s relief.
However, when Carla is called into the factory to deal with an urgent issue, she leaves Betsy alone in the flat.
When the door buzzer goes, Betsy is left terrified. Could Rob be waiting at the door?
