Arlo Fielding was finally caught out on Hollyoaks after his mother, Marie, made a shocking discovery.
Arlo has been bullying Ro Hutchinson for the past few months, with the youngster’s vile behaviour including transphobic remarks as well as threats of physical violence, which had been uttered both over text and in person.
Last week’s developments saw Diane finally unearth definitive proof that Arlo was behind the bullying of her son, though Tony – who was in the process of getting engaged to Marie – was initially uncertain.
As the group congregated at Tony and Marie’s engagement party, Arlo delivered a disingenuous speech as he acted innocent once more, with Tony finally taking action – albeit recklessly – as he discovered the truth after seeing Ro become uneasy.
The party was halted as Tony shockingly slapped Arlo, with yesterday’s events seeing the character hand himself into the police. Arlo subsequently admitted to bullying Ro, though he lied once more as he said the abuse was in retaliation against cruelty from Tony.
Tuesday’s (April 1) episode began in the aftermath of Tony’s arrest, with the figure returning to find that The Hutch had been vandalised with graffiti. Joel and Leela, meanwhile, had a discussion, with the latter sceptical of Arlo’s accusations.
Tony later met with Diane and Ro in The Hutch as Marie came to give Tony a piece of her mind, though Ro poked a hole in Arlo’s story as he pointed out that the bullying began long before Tony moved in with Marie.
After Diane intimated that Arlo may have been involved in the vandalism of The Hutch, Marie later had a snoop in her son’s backpack, with the character shocked as she discovered a can of spray paint.
As Marie was faced with the realisation that her son had been lying all along, Ro began to text his new online friend, Nina. How will Arlo react to being caught out? And who exactly is Ro’s new friend?
