Soap fans are absolutely loving Jack P Shepherd and Patsy Palmer in the Celebrity Big Brother house, but did you know that the David Platt actor isn’t the only Coronation Street star to be participating in the reality TV show?
Fellow housemate Donna Preston once graced the cobbles too!
Actress Donna has had an illustrious career so far, appearing inmany films and TV series, including Michael McIntyre’s Big Show, Brassic and Apocalypse Wow.
In 2018, she appeared in an episode of Coronation Street as one of Abi Webster’s (Sally Carman) friends, Den, attending a party at No.11.
At the party, Den flirted with Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson), and Abi later used a picture of him flirting with multiple women to blackmail him into keeping quiet about her living in Eileen Grimshaw’s (Sue Cleaver) house.
We’re not surprised that Steve went along with it, fearing Tracy Barlow’s (Kate Ford) wrath!
Taking to Instagram at the time of filming the episode, Donna shared a picture of herself in the Coronation Street dressing rooms, with the caption: ‘A LITTLE BIT EXCITED FOR THIS JOB!’
Once the episode had aired, she shared a picture of the closing credits, and received plenty of support from her followers.
‘So proud of you poppet!’ One said, while another added: ‘I screamed when I saw you!’
Donna’s Celebrity Big Brother experience so far
In last night’s instalment of Celebrity Big Brother, Donna was one of eight housemates to nominate Jack for eviction, leaving him facing the public vote, alongside politician Michael Fabricant and actor Mickey Rourke, who received JoJo Siwa’s killer nomination.
Donna, who previously feared being a Celebrity Big Brother housemate would be ‘too exposing’, has already found herself starstruck by fellow soap star Patsy Palmer.
After accidentally calling her by the name of her iconic EastEnders character, Bianca Jackson, Donna was shocked to learn that Patsy wasn’t her real nam either.
