After all the sexy smouldering looks and angry flirting, Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) are about to give into the sexual tension in Emmerdale. But there’ll be a cost.
The way to Aaron’s heart is through his love of crime. John seemingly knew exactly that from the moment he met the village ruffian, wooing Aaron with sex by the side of the road in his van before he nicked off with his wallet and keys. Oh, the romance.
Since then, the sexual tension has been off the scale as the two tried to one-up each other – John even teased Aaron with an almost kiss that left him red faced and horny.
For any normal person, these acts might have been seen as red flags. For Aaron, it’s been the ultimate come on. Which will leave Aaron in a sticky situation, excuse the expression.
The revenge game between John and Mack Boyd (Lawrence Robb) escalates to the point that Mack finds himself in a deadly situation involving a bull. While working in a barn, he suddenly comes face to face with the bulky creature and has no way out. There’s not a chance he’s getting out of this unscathed.
He makes a run for it, but the bull catches up with him and Mack is left injured and in pain from the bizarre encounter.
It’s obvious who has done this – new farmhand John. Aaron is fuming that his friend has been put in so much danger, so his first instinct is to confront the culprit – John.
But in an unbelievable move, Aaron is rendered utterly powerless – the frisson between him and Vic’s new half-brother completely disarms him. Instead of knocking him into next week, he gets him into bed.
It’s not even revenge sex with the plan to break John’s heart (largely because he doesn’t yet seem to have one). Mack is furious about the whole situation, and Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) attempts to convince him to get his own back.
But before Mack can exact his own revenge, he collapses in a heap. Is Aaron sleeping with the guy who kills his best friend?
