Hollyoaks airs heartbreaking Joel and Leela outcome in early streaming release
Tommy gets his wish.
Hollyoaks has revealed what the future holds for Joel and Leela Dexter, as Tommy Odenkirk’s sinister plan comes together.
Tommy blackmailed Jez this week, threatening to send his murder confessions to the police unless he killed Leela.
Jez did as he was told and poisoned Leela, framing Cleo for the crime, but she survived the attempt on her life. When the police asked about Cleo’s motives in the hospital, Joel was forced to admit that he recently slept with his ex.
Leela was devastated by her husband’s betrayal, and in today’s episode she confronted Cleo about sleeping with Joel and falsely accused her of drugging her.
Cleo protested her innocence, with Mercedes and John Paul coming to her defence, but the situation escalated when the police arrived to take Cleo to the station.
After staying with Tommy, Joel was determined to fix things with his wife, and he found Leela to have an honest conversation.
But Leela wanted answers, and he was forced to admit that his night with Cleo must have meant something, as he continues to go back to her.
Leela reached breaking point and ended their marriage, telling Joel to go and be with Cleo before walking away in tears.
Meanwhile, Jez wanted an update from Tommy, now that Joel and Leela had split up, and Tommy insisted that the recordings had been deleted for good.
Jez and John Paul later filled in Sienna about Cleo allegedly drugging Leela – and she was gutted to discover that Cleo had recently slept with Joel.
As Joel collected his belongings from the house, Cleo tried and failed to reach out to him. She was then brushed off by Sienna, who was upset about the Joel revelation.
Jez urged Cleo to stay away from his daughter, but she vowed to get to the bottom of whoever was framing her.
Elsewhere, Leela watched Joel head off in a taxi with Tommy – who grinned smugly back at her. Will she ever get to the truth about Tommy’s scheming?
