Hollyoaks reveals how Tony and Diane cover their tracks in Bobby death plot

Hollyoaks’ Tony and Diane Hutchinson will be forced to act quickly next week, as they attempt to keep the truth about Bobby’s death under wraps.
Last month, Mercedes’ son Bobby was brutally murdered by serial killer Jez, in a desperate attempt to stop the teen exposing his string of crimes.
But as Bobby lay unresponsive in the road, Tony accidentally hit him with his car. He later realised what had happened and assumed he was responsible for killing Bobby – unaware that he was already dead.
Tony confessed to Diane that he hit Bobby and prepared to hand himself in, but Diane managed to convince him not to tear their family apart for good.
Diane then made a huge decision, and deliberately crashed Tony’s car, in the hope of destroying the evidence that might link him to Bobby’s death.
Since then, the pair have been keeping the wrecked car in an empty garage until they can get the vehicle scrapped – but the situation is set to escalate next week.
Mercedes is devastated when Dodger confirms Bobby’s cause of death. This gives her a renewed sense of purpose, and she tells Tony that she won’t stop until she finds the driver who killed her son.
Tony fears that Mercedes will soon figure out that he killed Bobby, but Diane assures him that the wrecked car will soon be removed and destroyed.
However it seems the pair are running out of time, as they then discover a leaflet which advertises the reopening of the garage that the car is being stored in.
Tony and Diane are forced to quickly change their plans, and tense scenes unfold as they work to get the vehicle out of the village as soon as possible.
Thankfully, the pair manage to keep suspicious Darren and Mercedes distracted, and the damaged car is safely towed away without them realising.
Later, Tony makes sure to check in on Mercedes, as she struggles with her emotions when Bobby’s coffin arrives for the teen’s vigil.
Mercedes thanks him for his support during this difficult time, and later she even leaves him a rather cheeky text.
Tony previously ended his brief fling with Mercedes, making it clear that he wanted to make things work with Diane. But are things really over between them, and will Diane find out?
