Coronation Street child’s life in danger as they take serious health risk
With her home life in turmoil amid Alina Pop’s (Ruxandra Porojnicu) return to Weatherfield, Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) continues to go off the rails in Coronation Street next week.
The teenager has been furious since stepdad Tyrone’s (Alan Halsall) ex reappeared with his secret son Dorin last month, fearing she will split her reunited family up once again.
Recent weeks have also seen the character break up with boyfriend Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) before being rejected by Jack Webster (Kyran Bowes).
As well as hiding the fact she has been on the pill from mum Fiz (Jenny McAlpine) and Tyrone, she has also started vaping – despite previously grassing Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) up for selling them at school last year.
In scenes to air next week, she ignores the advice of Jack and Sam when they spot her taking a drag on her vape in the school corridor and warn her about the dangers of vaping.
Back home, her step-grandmother Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) then finds a vape pen in Hope’s bag.
While Hope begs her not to grass her up, will Cassie do the right thing and tell her parents?
Fiz and Tyrone are distracted next week, however, when Alina reveals her plan to return to Romania with Dorin.
After Tyrone steals her passport in an attempt to get them to stay, a confrontation ensues between him and Fiz, who hands back the passport to Alina and covers for her husband.
Later in the week, Tyrone, Hope and Ruby (Billie Naylor) video call Dorin, but Alina ends the call abruptly and explains that it upsets Dorin.
When an angered Fiz says she’d never have returned Alina’s passport if she’d known this would happen, they’re horrified to realise the call is still connected and Alina has heard every word – will this be the final straw for her?
