Major Coronation Street legend addresses return
Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan has teased a potential return to the cobbles, six years after her soap exit.
The 34-year-old actress played Rosie Webster over an 18-year period from 2000 when the character was only 10 years old.
During Monday’s Lorraine, the soap star – who recently did a stint on Celebs Go Dating – she told the presenter: ‘I would love to go back to Coronation Street.’
After the 64-year-old host joked that Rosie should make a grand comeback after creating havoc in Japan as a model, Helen added: ‘I really want Rosie to come back with loads of kids and just cause chaos and just fob them off with Sally.
She left the soap in 2018 to go on maternity leave but has often spoken of how she’d love to go back when her son Charlie is a bit older.
The devoted mum Helen has spoken of wanting to focus on them. ‘I just want happy kids, and to be happy and healthy myself,’ she said.

She often shares snaps of family life with her children on Instagram as well as speaking openly about mental health. Recently she posted a picture of herself breastfeeding baby Charlie. In the picture she looks serene and happy, although she reveals that she struggled with post natal depression after the birth of two of her children.
‘Everything I do work-wise just works around the kids. So yeah, probably when Charlie gets a little bit older, maybe,’ she suggested.
In a lengthy post, Helen previously admitted she believes part of the reason for her psychosis was the ’emotional struggle’ after splitting from long-term partner Scott Sinclair in 2022.
Celebs Go Dating viewers were recently left fuming after Helen admitted she had a boyfriend.
In a previous statement to Metro.co.uk, a Celebs Go Dating spokesperson said after producers on the series discovered Helen wasn’t single, she was ‘asked to be transparent with the agents and her fellow celebrities during her next filming day’.
‘As per the show’s guidelines, all participating celebrities must be single. After discussing the situation, it was decided that Helen and her partner, Robbie, would meet with the agents to assess their compatibility, and Helen would no longer date members of the public,’ they added.
