Hollyoaks sets up huge Tony Hutchinson story in new September trailer

Hollyoaks has revealed that Tony Hutchinson will be at the centre of the drama ahead of the show’s 30th anniversary next month.
Tony, a character who has been at the heart of the village for all three decades, will play a key role in the soap’s milestone celebrations.
While Tony is currently in prison for the murder of Mercedes McQueen’s son Bobby, viewers know that it’s serial killer Jez Blake who is really responsible for his death.
Hollyoaks‘ new trailer, previewing this month’s action, shows that Tony’s struggles will continue, as he finds himself unpopular with the other inmates – including Joel Dexter, who is making a surprise return to the show.
Plus, there are plenty more shocks to come for Tony, as not only is Mercedes pregnant with his child, but he is also the biological father of Nancy Osborne’s daughter Morgan.
Darren Osborne soon discovers that he is not Morgan’s dad and is devastated by his wife’s deceit, so he seeks solace at the casino table and returns to gambling.

Also struggling with addiction is John Paul McQueen, who, after being pressured by Mercedes to lie about Bobby’s death, relapses into substance abuse again.
Meanwhile, Ste Hay will soon be held hostage by Jez alongside Sienna Blake. While Rex Gallagher spirals and Lucas Hay gets closer to the truth about where his dad is, Cleo McQueen is devastated that her girlfriend is a serial killer, with Jez having pinned all his crimes on his daughter.
Cleo seeks support from Dodger Savage as they come to terms with the truth about Sienna – and the pair end up sharing a shocking kiss.

But Jez might soon be found out, as he confesses to a drunken John Paul that he is the real serial killer. John Paul reels from this admission, but will he remember what’s been said in the morning?
Elsewhere, there’s love in the air for Leela Lomax and Prince McQueen, whose relationship is growing into more than just a fling.
