Hollyoaks star Kieron Richardson lands own show for soap’s 30th anniversary
The actor will host a special spin-off show.
Hollyoaks star Kieron Richardson has landed his very own show ahead of the soap’s 30th anniversary. With celebrations commencing on Monday 29 September, fans can expect special programming on E4, as well as a brand-new episode of Hollyoaks Unwrapped, hosted by Richardson.
According to newly released TV listings, Hollyoaks Unwrapped premieres on the channel on 1 October and includes behind-the-scenes features, interviews, games, spoilers and set secrets. Adding to the fanfare, E4 will also air some of the most explosive episodes in Hollyoaks‘ history, starting with the 2012 double-wedding special, Enjoy The Ride, on 29 September at 7.30pm.
As fans will remember, the special focused on the double-wedding of Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard) and Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring), and Ste Hay (Richardson) and Doug Carter (PJ Brennan).
After Maddie Morrison (Scarlett Bowman) stole a minibus to help Jono (Dylan Llewellyn) and Ruby Button (Anna Shaffer) elope, the character found herself in grave danger when the brakes failed, sending her swerving into the wedding venue and injuring some of the guests. Adding to the drama, the minibus later exploded, resulting in four major deaths.
Taking fans on a trip down memory lane, E4 will continue to honour the soap’s enduring legacy on-screen, following the news that the 30th anniversary tour has been axed.

According to earlier plans, Hollyoaks was expected to head out on the road in October to celebrate, with five stars from past and present announced to be taking part in live shows with behind-the-scenes secrets, unseen footage, questions and answers, and even some musical performances.
Unfortunately, Maple Tree Entertainment, which had been organising the tour, was forced to cancel. In an official statement, the company declared: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, the planned theatre events for Hollyoaks: The 30th Anniversary Tour will no longer be taking place.
“We are truly sorry to disappoint those who purchased tickets. Refunds will be issued directly by the venues.”
