Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) is surprised in Coronation Street next week, as a woman called Trisha arrives.
Tim is quick to introduce Trisha to his mates as a ‘blast from the past’. Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) and Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) find this amusing, but Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) certainly doesn’t.
He then reminisces to Brian Packham (Peter Gunn) about the 1980s when he got together with Trisha. But there’s one detail that shocks Brian. Tim says when all this happened, Trisha was almost 20, while Tim was only 14.
Brian has the opportunity to tell Trisha what he thinks of this the next day, when she calls into the cafe looking for Tim. Brian says that what happened when Tim was 14 was grooming, as Tim was only a child.
Tim’s shocked by Brian’s words and starts to defend Trisha, but Brian is insistent – Trisha groomed him.
Elsewhere in Coronation Street soon, Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) faces a nightmare when Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) is rushed to hospital, and then has to confront the fact she potentially tried to end her life.
The intense storyline involving Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) and Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) also continues.
Todd attempts to talk to Theo about his latest disappearing act, but he fails to give his partner the time of day. Later on, Theo enters the pub and finds Todd talking to Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), and quickly takes action.
Also, Abi Webster (Sally Carman) makes a potentially game-changing mistake amid her affair, and the Weatherfield men open up about their mental health struggles in the aftermath of Asha’s hospitalisation.
