Hollyoaks confirms one casualty as Clare’s escape plan goes drastically wrong

Hollyoaks has confirmed a big casualty as Clare Devine’s escape plan goes badly wrong. It comes after the villain tried to concoct a scheme to take revenge on the teens.

In Wednesday evening’s episode, Clare learned that Lucas Hay, Dillon Ray, Frankie Osborne and Vicky Grant were away in Liverpool, putting a spanner in her plans to take her vengeance during Tony and Diane Hutchinson’s wedding.

However, Jez – who has been hiding in a storage container – suggested she should target their families instead at the ceremony to teach the teens a “lesson”. Clare later had a change of mind after speaking to ex Dodger Savage, with a desire to protect Tori surfacing.

After a clash with Jez amid her newfound conscience, she set off a gas container and locked him in the container to die. However, new preview pictures confirm he does escape – but how did he get out?

In new scenes set to air next week, Clare is interrupted by sister Grace, whose suspicions are raised by her positive mood. Grace then pleads with Ste to help Rex, and they later meet with the latter and beg him not to take Tori away.

Clare waits for Tori at the airfield so she can finally get away from the village… though later on we see an ambulance bring a resident into the hospital from the airfield – and they’re in great peril.
