Hollyoaks to continue Dillon and Ste story – here’s how they almost get caught

Hollyoaks’ Dillon Ray and Ste Hay will carry on their controversial affair later this month, as they continue to be drawn to one another. But the pair are playing with fire as they come close to being caught by an unexpected character…
This year, Dillon admitted to Ste that he has feelings for him, even though he was in a relationship with his son Lucas. But it came as a surprise to viewers when Ste admitted that Dillon’s feelings were reciprocated.
Dillon and Lucas have now split up, but Lucas is not willing to give up on their romance and has demonstrated increasingly worrying behaviour – such as cloning Dillon’s phone and bombarding him with emails and messages.
Meanwhile, Ste is facing consequences for telling the police that he has been abusing Lucas, even though the reality is the other way round, as Lucas has been violent towards his dad for months now.
With baby James removed from his custody, Ste continued to spiral and tragically, he ended up relapsing. This week’s scenes have seen Ste missing a social services meeting and continuing to drink after another altercation with Lucas.
Ste is in an extremely vulnerable state and doesn’t realise the extent of Lucas’ sinister behaviour. Later this month, Dillon and Rex realise that something needs to change, so they team up to try and make Ste see that Lucas needs serious help.
However, when Dillon and Ste later have a secret conversation about their own relationship, Rex overhears their covert chat, and the pair are nearly caught out.
It proves difficult to get through to Ste, so Rex changes tactic and gives his ex-boyfriend some tough love – but Ste reacts badly to his harsh words and pushes him away.
In the aftermath of this, Dillon finds Ste to comfort him and shares some wise words. But in the moment, the pair get carried away and one thing leads to another once again…
The soap’s winter trailer shows that Dillon and Ste will continue to get passionate in the lead up to Christmas, and they almost get caught in a compromising position by Lucas.
Lucas becomes aware that Dillon is sleeping with someone else and is desperate to get to the truth about his mysterious lover – but will he find out that it’s his own dad?
