FORMER Hollyoaks star Fabrizio Santino has revealed his sister is battling breast cancer in a heartfelt tribute to her.
The actor, 43, took to Instagram to share a supportive message in which he vowed to be with her “every step of the way”.
He posted a black and white picture of his sister in a salon, smiling after seemingly having just had her head shaved.
Fab wrote: “Today I celebrate this super human… my sister!
“She’s been battling with breast cancer and I can’t scream out anymore at how incredibly proud I am of her and her strength and positivity!
“Her bravery and resilience is truly inspirational. This girl’s built different….
“This evil bug aint gonna beat you darling you have so much love around you!
“I am here with you every step of the way. I love you with all my heart and soul.”
Fab is best known for playing the role of Ziggy Roscoe between 2013 and 2015 in Hollyoaks.
The lothario had a string of steamy romps and affairs during his drama-filled time on the show.
Ziggy eventually married Leela Lomax, though his heart really lay with her sister Tegan.
Tragedy then struck on Christmas Day when Ziggy died from a brain injury sustained while saving Leela from an explosion.
Fab returned to soapland in 2023, landing the role of Brett Nelson in EastEnders.
Brett, a HIV-positive former steroid user, arrived in the Square looking for former training pal Zack Hudson, who he used to share needles with.
Over a number of emotionally-charged episodes Brett encouraged Zack to get tested.
Initially reluctant, he eventually has one done after breaking a glass in an argument with Nish, Suki and Ravi.
The result comes back positive and devastated Zack struggles to control his emotions.
An angry confrontation with Brett soon turned tearful as the newcomer reassured Zack he could still lead a normal life,
