EastEnders’ Toby-Alexander Smith flooded with support after major career update
Former soap star Toby-Alexander Smith has received support from his Emmerdale wife after "exciting news"

Former EastEnders actor Toby-Alexander Smith has made an announcement nearly four years after his departure from the popular BBC One soap.
The 34-year-old is best known for his chilling portrayal of Gray Atkins, a villainous character in Albert Square, a role he played from 2019 to 2022. His character’s reign of terror finally came to an end when he was apprehended for his heinous crimes in a nail-biting climax.
Gray spent a considerable amount of time hiding his dark deeds, which included the murders of his wife Chantelle (Jessica Plummer), Tina Carter (Luisa Bradshaw-White), and Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami), as well as the abuse of his new wife, Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams).

However, his wicked ways couldn’t remain hidden forever, and thankfully, he was arrested after Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) exposed him.
“Consider it payback for Kush,” Gray told a stunned Whitney as his world began to crumble around him. “That’s right, I killed him too. I pushed him under that train.”, reports OK!.
Post-EastEnders, Toby-Alexander has appeared in period dramas such as “An American in Austen” and “Love Across Time.”
Off-screen, the actor tied the knot with Emmerdale star Amy Walsh, who portrays Tracy Robinson on the ITV soap. The couple shares a daughter named Bonnie and is expecting another child.

On Tuesday (January 13), Toby-Alexander revealed his role in the feature film, A Murder Between Friends, which also boasts Dynasty star Joan Collins in its cast and is available for streaming in the US.
The film, reminiscent of an Agatha Christie whodunit, follows a group of six friends holidaying at the country estate of a famed true crime TV personality.
However, their leisurely break takes a dark turn when one of their number is found murdered, leading to a tense investigation as they try to figure out who among them had the means, motive, and opportunity to commit the crime.
Toby-Alexander took to social media to share a collection of stills from the film, captioning the post: “Tonight’s the night. A Murder Between Friends is streaming on all platforms in the US.”
His wife, Amy, quickly re-posted her husband’s announcement on her own Instagram Story, expressing her excitement with the comment: “How exciting.”
Friends and followers alike responded enthusiastically to Toby-Alexander’s post, with comments ranging from “Awesome” and “Great”, accompanied by a heart-eyed emoji, to supportive messages like “Go on Tobes”.
One particularly excited fan wrote: “You AND @jacob_w_young? I’m sold. As a lifelong EastEnders and All My Children fan, this has me so excited!
