BLONDE bombshell Gemma Merna is making her dramatic return to Hollyoaks – 12 years after her ditzy character Carmel McQueen was killed off.
Gemma became a lads’ mag favourite in the Noughties after joining the soap in 2006.

She stayed for eight years and was at the centre of some of the biggest storylines, which included her relationship with Calvin Valentine, played by hunky Ricky Whittle.
But in 2014 bosses decided to kill off Carmel and she died during the soap’s explosive train crash episode.
We can now reveal that she returned to film a special dream sequence for the exit of her on-screen brother John-Paul McQueen, played by James Sutton.
He decided to quit the soap last year and his exit is expected to be played out on screen this spring.
A source said: “It’s a real treat for the fans getting Gemma back.”
